
Gianluca Baruffa studied with G. Furini at Padova Conservatory of Music. In 1977 he has performed, as "concertino", with the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana by Siena's Accademia Chigiana. In 1980 he moved to "Solisti Veneti" chamber ensemble with whom he has appeared at music festivals throughout the world. In 1982 Mr. Baruffa was appointed by Teatro La Fenice Venice and Teatro Regio Torino orchestras. He joined the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto since 1983.
Mr. Baruffa is a faculty member of Adria Conservatory of Music.
Alberto Salomon ha frequentato il Conservatorio "A.Steffani" di Castelfranco Veneto ed ha conseguito il diploma di Viola sotto la guida di Luca Volpato nel 1994, con il massimo dei voti.E’ stato allievo di Bruno Giuranna all’Accademia "Walter Stauffer" di Cremona.
Ha frequentato, inoltre, le lezioni di Franco Gulli, Fedor Druzhinin, Danilo Rossi, Wolfram Christ e Jodi Levitz. Per la Musica da Camera, ha studiato con Franco Rossi e Massimo Somenzi.
In formazione di Quartetto con pianoforte ha ottenuto il 2° premio al Concorso internazionale "Città di Stresa" nel 1993. Ha al suo attivo concerti in formazione di duo con pianoforte, trio d’archi, quartetto d’archi e quartetto con pianoforte. Collabora, in qualità di Prima Viola, con l’Orchestra d’Archi Italiana diretta da Mario Brunello. Attualmente collabora con l’Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto e con l’Orchestra Filarmonica Veneta "Gianfrancesco Malipiero".
Ha ricoperto il ruolo di prima viola presso le Orchestre del Teatro La Fenice, di Padova e del Veneto, da Camera di Belluno, Filarmonica di Udine, "I Virtuosi di Aquileia", Sinfonica di Ferrara, regionale dell’Emilia Romagna "A.Toscanini", ha collaborato con l’Orchestra Regionale della Toscana, con l’Orchestra italiana diretta da Salvatore Accardo, con l’Orchestra Regionale del Friuli Venezia Giulia e, per circa due anni con l’Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia.
Cellist Mario Finotti graduated at Rovigo Conservatory with full marks and continued his post-graduate studies with Radu Aldulescu and David Geringas.
Before joining the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, he was Principal Cello at Bologna's "Orchestra del Teatro Comunale". In chamber music field, he has recorded pieces from Fauré, Bragato and Hummel and collaborated with other acclaimed musicians like B. Giuranna, M. Maisky, A. Bylsma, S. Mintz, among others.
Mario Finotti is presently a faculty member of Verona Conservatory of Music.
Born in Rovigo, Ubaldo Fioravanti began musical studies in his native city, continuing later at Florence Conservatory of Music. Before graduating in 1978, he joined "I Solisti Veneti" chamber orchestra in 1976 as Principal Double Bass. Since 1983 he is Principal Double Bass at Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto. Mr. Fioravanti earned postgraduate masters in chamber music with R. Brengola e F. Rossi. He has performed chamber music on numerous occasion with F. Petracchi and W. Guttler and with important chamber ensembles. In recording field, he registered Mozart's aria "Per questa bella mano" for Claves label.
He currently is a faculty member of Venice Conservatory of Music.
Flautist Mario Folena has been a member of Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto since 1982. After gratuating "cum laude" at Padova Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Clementine Hoogendoorn, he continued his postgraduate sudies in France with J. P. Rampal and A. Adorjan. In 1978 he began his soloist career under the conduction of J. E. Gardiner. In 1980 he joined Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo as Principal Flute. In 1981 Mr. Folena was awarded the "Venezianello" prize for music.
He has appeared in "Omaggio a Venezia" concerts series in 1982 with J. Sutherland and in 1985, Maestro Szeryng conducting.
He has been a former member at Venice's "Fondazione Cini" baroque music postgraduate master classes. In historical field, Mr. Folena has a particular interest on baroque repertoire (with Roberto Loreggian and Paola Frezzato he has recorded Geminiani's sonatas and arias).
After graduating at Castelfranco Veneto Conservatory of Music with R. Cesena, oboist Paolo Brunello earned the master degree at Hochschule der Kuenste in Berlin with H. Schellenberger. He joined master classes with A. Loppi in Pescara and with L. Koch at Salzburg's Mozarteum.
Mr. Brunello has performed chamber music on numerous occasion as soloist and with foremost italian chamber groups. He has appeared as Principal Oboe at Filarmonia Veneta Orchestra and performed with Teatro alla Scala Orchestra.
Currently Mr. Brunello is the Principal Oboe with Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto.
Luca Lucchetta is a graduate with full marks at Venice Conservatory where he studied with Professor G. Bacchi. He attended the Biella's International Academy and earned a master degree with Antony Pay, later becoming himself an assistant of Professor Pay in a lot of master degrees all over Europe.
Mr. Lucchetta has been an active soloist and performed chamber music on numerous occasions with important italian orchestras like Naples, Venice, Treviso, Milan (Teatro alla Scala), Parma and Genoa with conductors such as G. Sinopoli, P. Maag, L. Maazel, D. Oren, G. Bertini.
In 1996 he has been featured in the opening concert at Empoli's "Giornate Busoniane" performing Busoni's Concertino for clarinet and orchestra.
Mr. Lucchetta is Principal Clarinet at Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto.
He has taken part at various recordings for the labels Claves, Pilz and Ricordi.
Born in Mestre in 1969, bassoonist Aligi Voltan studied at Venice Conservatory of Music. After graduating "cum laude", he attended post-graduate master classes with Ovidio Danzi and Stefano Canuti.
In 1994 he has joined the "Orchestra Haydn di Trento e Bolzano" and in 1995 the "La Grand Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy" Paris baroque orchestra under Jean Claude Malgoire featuring as Principal bassoonist throughout the Europe and Australia. He has also been featured with "Solisti Veneti" chamber ensemble, Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Treviso and Orchestra "La Fenice" in Venice.
Mr. Voltan joined the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto in july 1999 as Principal Bassoonist.
Born in 1971, Marco Bertona graduated in 1991 at Alessandria Conservatory of Music with G. Zoppi. He continued his post-graduate studies at the Saluzzo's "Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale" with H. Baumann, R. Vlatkovic, M. Rota and A. Nunez.
Mr. Bertona has performed with the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino and Orchestra Sinfonica dell'Emilia Romagna. He joined the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto since 1993.
A native of Chiavari, hornist Danilo Marchello studied with A. Virtuoso at Genoa Conservatory of Music. He attended post-graduate studies with G. Nalli and R. Vlatkovich. The recipient of many awards (RAI Symphony Orchestra in 1986, Lousanne Chamber Orchestra in 1987, Porcia in 1989), Mr. Marchello has performed chamber music on numerous occasions with B. Belkin, M. Dalberto, A. Pay, L. Skou Larsen, Gothoni Quartet, Rossini Quartet, Ottetto Italiano and recorded works by Mercadante, Mozart and Rossini. Rossini's Simphonies CD has been sold in more than 14.000 pieces.
As Principal hornist Mr. Marchello has been featured with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, International Brescia & Bergamo Piano Competition Orchestra, Bologna's Teatro Comunale Orchestra, among others.
Mr. Marchello joined the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto in 1984. He currently is a faculty member of Vicenza Conservatory of Music.
Brillantemente diplomato in Tromba nel 1993 sotto la guida del M° Silvano Damoli presso il conservatorio “E.F. Dall’Abaco” di Verona, si perfeziona con il M° Gabriele Cassone e con il M° Pier Thibaud presso l’Accademia di alto perfezionamento di Saluzzo. Nel 1994 vince l’audizione per l’Orchestra Giovanile Italiana dove ricopre il ruolo di prima tromba fino al 1996, anno in cui vince la selezione europea per l’Orchestra del mediterraneo. Vincitore di numerose audizioni collabora le Orchestra del Teatro la Fenice, del Teatro alla Scala, l’Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, l’Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, I Pomeriggi Musicali, l’Orchestra Toscanini, l’Orchestra della Fondazione Arena di Verona e l’Orchestra Filarmonica di San Pietroburgo. Nel 1999 vince il concorso bandito dall’Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano “Giuseppe Verdi” dove ricopre il ruolo di prima tromba fino al mese di dicembre 2004. Ha al suo attivo registrazioni con Decca, Emi, Deutsche Grammophon e BMG. Si è inoltre esibito come solista con numerose orchestre e ha potuto collaborare con importanti direttori quali R. Muti, C. M. Giulini, G. Sinopoli, C. Abbado, R. Chailly, Y. Temirkanov. Dal 2008 è prima tromba dell’orchestra di Padova e del Veneto.
Timpanist Alberto Macchini was born in Padova where received his early musical training. After graduating in percussions at Ferrara Conservatory of Music and in Philosophy at Padova University, he earned post-graduate master classes with David Searcy (Teatro alla Scala), Gert Mortensen (Denmark Royal Orchestra), Mike Quinn and Ruud Wiener. In 1989 he was awarded the Foggia national Percussions Competition. Mr. Macchini has been performed with major italian symphonic foundations as Teatro alla Scala, Arena di Verona, Teatro Comunale di Bologna under Sinopoli, Chailly, Maag, among others. He has also been featured with renowned international baroque orchestras (Mala Punica, Il Giardino Armonico, Concerto Italiano) recording for RAI italian broadcast and other international networks. He earned master classes in antique repertoire with R. Clemencic, P. Memelsdorff and L. Alpert. As recording artist he has recorded for Erato, Teldec and Arts labels. Currently he is faculty member at Adria Conservatory of Music. Mr. Macchini is a founding member of the "Nuovo Gruppo Italiano di Percussioni" ensemble.
